CLOSING THE LOOP ON PLASTIC USE

REUSE + RECYCLE

You know those plastic holders that make it so effortless to carry your craft beer to the car? Although the ones we use are made from 100% recycled HDPE, roughly 88% wind up in the landfill once they walk out the door.

We switched to digitally printed cans this year to ensure easy recyclability, but plastic carriers require special processing, so they can't just be dropped in your home recycling bin. By joining Craft for Climate's Chicagoland Can Carrier Reuse and Recycling Co-Op, we are hoping to reuse as many as possible, and then consolidate the rest at a local collection point for effective recycling.

bring 'em back

We use can carriers made from 100% recycled HDPE, and now we've joined Craft for Climate's Chicagoland Can Carrier Reuse and Recycling Co-op to help keep them out of landfills when you're done with them.

Drop your can carriers in the blue bin by the door and we'll wash, sort, and reuse that are in good shape, and transport the rest to a regional consolidation hub for recycling.

GET CREDIT FOR YOUR GOOD DEEDS

As a special, one-day promotion, on Earth Day (April 22, 2024), we'll buy back your clean, undamaged can carriers for 15 cents each in taproom credit (redeemable on your next visit). There'll be a special prize for the person who brings in the most, too!
