Come join us on Tuesday, December 19 for a LIVE Jazz broadcast on WDCB Radio! This event is open to the public and free to attend -- however, standing space is limited, so we are offering table reservations in the Lounge for $12 per person.

Come join us on Tuesday, December 19th for a LIVE Jazz broadcast on WDCB Radio!
The Matt Shevitz Quartet will be performing in the Lounge at Skeleton Key and WDCB will be broadcasting it over the airwaves from 7 to 8pm, with an additional set of music from 8:15 to 9pm.
Taproom will open at 5pm with food available for purchase from our friends at Burn N' Bull!
While this show is free to attend, there is only VERY limited standing room available in the Lounge on a first-come, first-served basis. You can, however, reserve seating for this one-time event for $12 per person (full tables available, too!), and you can choose where you want to sit when you reserve your seats in advance.
Please note: this event is 21+, and seating for the broadcast will begin at 6:15pm. We ask that guests arrive on time and be respectful of the show as we will be broadcasting LIVE over the radio!
(Musician Description)
Matt Shevitz is an in‐demand musician in the jazz, blues, and popular music scenes of the Chicagoland area. He has performed alongside such internationally renowned jazz musicians as Dick Hyman, Ignacio Berroa, Howard Levy, Frank Capp, and Frank Wess, along with blues/roots rock guitarist Eric Lindell and Ropeadope Records artists Spare Parts.
He has performed at Chicago Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Park Festival (Milwaukee), Waterfront Blues Festival (Portland), Chicago Blues Festival, Lollapalooza and House of Blues in Chicago.
Shevitz has contributed to DownBeat Magazine since 2009 with articles analyzing transcriptions of jazz solos as well as jazz theory and effective practice habits. He is featured regularly on WDCB, Chicago’s public radio jazz station, both as an interviewee and a performer, and has released two albums as a bandleader, Forward Motion (2018), and First Take! Live on WDCB (2022).
Shevitz is a professor and chairs the music program at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL – where he also is the Director of Jazz Ensembles.
