Come join us on Tuesday, Sept. 8 for a LIVE Jazz performance at Skeleton Key! The Thaddeus Tukes Quartet will be performing in the Lounge at Skeleton Key with two excellent sets from 7 to 9pm!

While this show is free to attend, there is only VERY limited standing room available in the Lounge on a first-come, first-served basis. You can, however, reserve seating for this one-time event for $12 per person (full tables available, too!), and you can choose where you want to sit when you reserve your seats in advance.

We will also have Tacos Las Manitas popping up to serve up their tasty tacos and more starting at 5:30pm!

About the performers:

Named a 2026 DownBeat Magazine Rising Star, Thaddeus Tukes is a Chicago-based vibraphonist, pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator. Presented by Expo 2020 Dubai as the “World’s Best Vibraphonist” and praised by the Chicago Tribune for bringing “poetry to the vibraphone,” he has performed at Carnegie Hall, Chicago’s Symphony Center, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and venues around the world.

One of Chicago’s most prominent jazz musicians, Tukes maintains residencies at multiple venues across the city and is recognized by CBS Chicago as one of its “Hidden Gems.” He is the founder of the Chicago Freedom Ensemble, directs the Gallery 37/After School Matters Jazz Band, and teaches at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels. Through performance, education, and community engagement, Tukes continues to advance Chicago’s jazz legacy while expanding the possibilities of the vibraphone.
