Extract brewing is a great way to get acclimated to general brewing processes before moving on to more advanced techniques. In this class, we will discuss sanitation practices and the basics of brewing, including steeping specialty grains to add additional dimension to your beer and selecting hops.

About the instructor:
Emily Slayton is a self-taught homebrewer of 9+ years and one of the owners of Skeleton Key Brewery. Her favorite beers to brew involve botanical adjuncts such as chrysanthemum, sage, chanterelle mushrooms, staghorn sumac, peppercorns, juniper and roasted dandelion root…but not all at once. She believes that simpler is better, and balance is everything.
