Do you identify with those who proudly call themselves “Hopheads”? Do you want to grow your own hops to add a fresh twist to your homebrews? If so, then you’ll enjoy learning all about your favorite beer ingredient–including how to grow it!–in this class!
In this two-hour class, renowned beer judge and author Marty Nachel will take you through a variety of different hops, explaining the characteristics that set them apart and the historical and regional importance of each. You’ll experience the flavors and aromas that they impart through a tasting of single-hop beers paired with each variety. A seasoned hop-grower himself, Marty will also share with you the best way to get started growing hops, either as a beer ingredient or just for decorative purposes.
