Do you identify with those who proudly call themselves “Hopheads”? Do you love hop-forward beer styles? Is an 80 IBU beer too mild for your liking? If so, then you’ll enjoy learning all about your favorite beer ingredient in this class!
In this two-hour class, renowned beer judge and author Marty Nachel will take you through a variety of different hops, explaining the characteristics that set them apart and the historical and regional importance of each. You’ll experience the flavors and aromas that they impart through a tasting of single-hop beers paired with each variety. This class includes beer tasting, so you must be 21+ to register and attend.
About the instructor:
Marty has been a BJCP judge since the program started in 1986 and he is now a professional beer judge at the Great American Beer Festival and FoBAB. He is the author of “Beer for Dummies” and “Homebrewing for Dummies”. He is also an instructor for the College of DuPage “Business of Craft Beer” certificate program.
